Soojipara is one of the beautiful places in Wayanad. The water falls from 100 FT to 300ft heights is the uniqueness. Largely un-noticed and secluded in location, Sojipara waterfalls form a spectacular attraction near Meppady. To reach the waterfall, one has to trek down 2 km approximately over steep rocks.
Edakkal Caves are two natural caves at a remote location at Edakkal, 25 km from Kalpetta in theWayanad district of Kerala in India's Western Ghats. They lie 1,200 metres above sea level on Ambukutty Mala, beside an ancient trade route connecting the high mountains of Mysore to the ports of theMalabar coast.
Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad, at 2,100 metres (6,900 ft) above sea level. It is one of the beautiful hill in south India. Foothill of the peak is covered with tea estates in Wayanad. Chembra is located near the town of Meppady and is 8 km south of Kalpetta.
Banasura Sagar Dam is the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia and an ideal starting point for hikes into the surrounding scenic mountains. It impounds the Karamanathodu tributary of the Kabini River, is part of the Indian Banasurasagar Project consisting of a dam and a canal project started in 1979.
Pookot Lake is a scenic freshwater lake in the Wayanad in Kerala, South India. Pookot is a natural fresh water lake nestling amid evergreen forests and mountain slopes at an altitude of 770 meters above sea level. It is 15 km away from Kalpetta. Lying 3 km south of Vythiri town, the lake is one of the most popular tourist spots in Wayanad.
